What we were, we are still. Sacred Data Core

Sacred data cores are like the strata of an iceberg, the earth, or tree rings. They represent life and all the stories of an individual, known and unknown, layer upon layer. By remembering and meditating we may discover something about those who have died and ourselves.

The data cores are hollow and can hold small objects or ashes. They are low-fired, kiln-cast glass frit and use materials to retain the original texture of the glass particles. Hand-forged copper. Handmade maple wood shrine made in collaboration with Philip Gay, Timber Robot Studio.

£1,850. 32 cm x 9.5 cm. Material Bullseye glass frit, copper bands, maple wood shrine.
